CEBU Computer Software courses
Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit (CEBU) offers hands-on training in recommended computer software tools needed to conduct a research study.
Complementing the research methods program, these courses provide hands-on training in recommended computer software tools, firstly for establishing sound and reliable data capture and management systems (using REDCap) and secondly for data manipulation and analysis (using Stata or R).
All of our computer software courses are delivered online via Zoom or Teams.

REDCap courses
Important: REDCap courses are only available for internal staff who are part of the Melbourne Children’s campus. This includes Murdoch Children's Research Institute, Royal Children's Hospital and The University of Melbourne, Department of Paediatrics) staff.
Stata courses
Stata is an integrated statistical software package that offers data manipulation, data visualization (graphics), a wide range of statistical methods and tools for reproducible analysis and reporting.
We recommend Stata because of its balance of user-friendly features and flexibility, which allow it to be used for both basic and advanced data manipulation and analysis.
R software courses
This course is delivered by Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit (CEBU), a working partnership between Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the University of Melbourne.
